After graduating with a B.S. in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University, Dr. Mark Cotnam then went on to earn his doctorate from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980 and has been in practice ever since!

Dr. Cotnam and his wife share their home with Patrick, a mixed breed dog, and during his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys cartooning, playing the guitar and mandolin, and going to the movies.
Dr. Adrienne Gwin
Dr. Adrienne Gwin grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Following a year-long internship at a specialty hospital outside of Washington, D.C., Dr. Gwin moved to Austin and began her career with Austin Vet Care at Central Park. She and her husband have two rambunctious boys, two dogs (Radar and Acorn), and an ever-fluctuating number of fish. In her spare time, Dr. Gwin enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
Dr. Catherine Lamkin
Dr. Catherine Lamkin has been with Austin Vet Care at Central Park since 2007. She started her journey in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Technician and Receptionist while pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma State University. She later graduated from OSU as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lamkin shares her home with three naughty pugs and when she is not working, she enjoys traveling with her family and playing with her son.
Originally from the Houston area, Laura moved to Austin in 1995 to attend the University of Texas at Austin. While in college, Laura began working as a Veterinary Technician and fell in love with veterinary medicine as a career. She joined Austin Vet Care at Central Park in 2010 and her professional growth moved her to the management side in 2015. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, sampling all the fine restaurants Austin has to offer, and gardening with her dogs Grimm and Ghillie, the chief pest control officers of the yard.
Josie has worked in the veterinary field for over eight years, all of these at Austin Vet Care. She currently shares her home with two dogs, one cat, her two daughters and husband. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids, helping with reading, homework, entertainment and playing at area parks.

Marie has always loved animals and grew up with a pet menagerie that included Australian Shepherd dogs, cats, snakes, budgies, and gerbils. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2014 and has been working as a technician since 2015. Marie currently has two Australian Shepherd girls: a black tri named Darcy and a blue merle named Chasca. In her free time, she loves playing computer and console games (favorites include Portal 2, Skyrim, and Pokémon) and writing stories. Marie loves working with animals and helping people. This is the most rewarding and fulfilling job she knows!
Originally from New York, after finishing college, Jen decided to move to Austin after visiting and falling in love with the city. She joined the Austin Vet Care at Central Park team in 2017. Similar to most veterinary professionals, Jen has always felt a connection with animals and has been drawn to this field ever since she was little. She feels lucky to do what she loves everyday and is excited to continue learning. At home she has a senior sheltie named Jax and in her spare time, she enjoys thrifting, watching movies, and taking care of her beloved plants.
Selenne discovered her passion for animals in 2017 when she became a Veterinary Technician back in her hometown in South Texas. She moved to Austin in 2020 to continue her journey saving animals. In her leisure time, Selenne enjoys outdoor activities like running and hiking. She has a long-haired dachshund that isn’t too friendly towards strangers but loves her owner! Selenne, along with the rest of the team at Austin Vet Care, loves keeping animals happy and healthy.
Veterinary Technician & Social Media Coordinator
Jessica is a true Austinite! Born and raised here, she started her veterinary career in 2012 after discovering her love for both cats and dogs while volunteering at a shelter. She spends her free time in the gym, pup-sitting and hanging out with her two young boys and her two dogs, Harlem and Homer. She loves scary movies, trying new restaurants around town, and hanging with friends and family. As the Social Media Coordinator for Austin Vet Care at Central Park, she continues her desire to keep clients educated and informed through interactive media.
Raina has worked as a Client Service Representative in the Veterinary field for over 20 years and has been with our team at Austin Vet Care at Central Park since 2009. Raina shares her home with three smooshed-faced dogs named Gumbo, Jambalaya, and Nola and, in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and three sons. She is a passionate supporter of her youngest son’s sports activities and acts as his personal chauffer and assistant throughout all his endeavors.
Amber has worked at Austin Vet Care for many years. She loves animals! She has a toy poodle named Cindy and three cats named Madelyn, Hope, & T-bone Walker. Amber also has a Pacman frog (Popeye), two ball pythons (Moto & Moyo) and a fish tank. Her interests include running, boating, biking and going to the gym. She enjoys being outdoor during her spare time.
Sandra joined the team at AVC in September 2015. She has 4 pets: an Australian Shepherd, 2 cats, and a hedgehog. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and reading.

Jeremy, a father of two, moved to Austin from Raleigh, North Carolina. He uses his phenomenal interpersonal skills to maintain rapport with our clients here at Austin Vet Care at Central Park. He was introduced to the veterinary field by his wife Jennifer who works at Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty in Round Rock. His interests include writing and recording music, traveling, and cooking. He spends his downtime with his two sons and tours as a recording artist under the moniker Errebodi Favorite.
